I'd sent an email before but don't recall having received a reply (perhaps it went to spam). Do you have print editions? I would much rather read print than a screen. If so how can I purchase them?

And of course, awesome story :-)
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I'd give you four thumbs up, if I were a chimpanzee.
That is, if I were reading your story, and not smelling my own stank-finger.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Irony: "You should put more things in the story that I would enjoy instead of doing fan service."

I would not debase my craft by altering my story to suit your whims, sorry. Don't feel bad, though, because I don't do that for anyone.

I've never made a serious study of how it affects my income when I have more kink or less kink, but I can tell you this: I seem to get more complaints about the things you're griping about than anything else.

If I'm pandering, in other words, I must be doing a very poor job of it.

Anybody who is just here for kink and sex is worse off than you are, because they're getting far less of what they want and have to wade through far more of stuff that doesn't appeal to them. I really kind of suspect that the biggest and most devoted section of readers are the people who appreciate the mixture.

Here's the bottom line: I write the story I feel like writing. It's not a good story or a bad story, objectively. If you don't like it, it's not because of the thing I did wrong or the thing I failed to do. It's because this story doesn't appeal to you. No action is required by either of us to address this because it isn't actually a problem! It's not a problem for me. There's no reason it should be a problem for you.

Leaving aside the matter of taste, I could boil 9/10ths of your complaints down to the fact that I'm not following certain well-worn tropes or giving you what you expect. If I removed the sex from the story completely, this would still be the case. You wouldn't get the neat little resolutions you're looking for. You wouldn't get morals. You wouldn't get prepackaged redemption tales.

You'd still have the sprawling story of a teenage girl groping (non-sexually) and stumbling her way through college in a high fantasy version of modern life because that is what I set out to write.

Will everyone enjoy it? No, but I don't write for everyone. There's no money in it.
Current score: 4 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

The grandmother thing was particularly disappointing... you spend so long building her up with bits of backstory and other character's comments,
to be a more complex character, who seemed to love mack and been doing what she felt she had to to keep her alive and prevent her from growing into a monster, raising her to suppress her demonic traits. Maybe she could have done it a little better...came off way overbearing and mack ended up repressed and self loathing(issues from being too harsh) which would make mack think of her the way she does. something like that. Seemed to be going that direction.
...but then she gets there and nope, shes exactly how mack thinks of her. She is like a 1dimentional cartoon character, parody of an overbearing religious grandmother with absolutely 0 depth beyond that. What was the point of even bothering with backstory for that?

on a related note that submissive thing seems to be being flanderized pretty quickly for mack, 1 trait becoming the character... its like her entire 2d identity now, seems like if she weren't the main character it'd be all she is.
Current score: 2 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I like the setting and characters, but you don't do enough of them, the whole sex scene thing is definitely at the expense of the story, although I get that you get $ from appeal and kinda need it. but if you spent more time on plot rather than sacrificing alot of it to fan-service(or author appeal not sure which) it'd be a good story.

you end up spending all that time building up a plot point, then it goes to waste when you skip to the end so you can get them to the next kinky sex scene.
Interesting things start to happen, plot points build up, characterization building, but then it stops so they can have sex. Then on to the next plot shard until its time to get distracted with spanking and forget about the mermaids or the pitchfork or whatever completely.
Current score: 2 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Thanks for asking! Making that kind of navigation easier and more obvious is on my to-do list. As a temporary measure, I've simplified the archive listings and increased the number of stories per page to save you clicks. If you go to http://www.talesofmu.com/story/category/book0x/page/6 you'll find around where chapter 280 is. You can also jump to a specific chapter by going up into the URL and changing the number directly... it isn't perfect if you're not sure exactly where you were, but should make it easier to get in the right neighborhood.
Current score: 1 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Is there anyway to get a page with just a list of chapters? I used to read Faithfully then fell off for awhile after chapter 280-something. But that's after book 5 and WAY before the current chapters and the only way to get to where I left off is to click madly. Kinda annoying.

Love the story tho!!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

What would be really great is a link to chapter 1.

I'm somewhere in the 60's and I was telling a friend about it, and he asked for the link. I can't find a way to give him one for chap1, except by clicking back 60 something times.

The story is amazing, btw.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

This story has been fantastic for reading on the bus or on breaks at work or whenever, but all of a sudden today my phone started saying "This page is too large to be loaded on this device". I tried clearing my content cache, and rebooting my phone but it still won't let me. This has never been a problem in the 3 years I've been reading. I don't know what changes have been made (since I've been reading only on my phone since the site was green), but if there's anything you can do I'd be eternally grateful!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
