Discussion Question: Best/Worst Teacher?
Hey, folks! I’ve decided to try something new… there’s always been a lot of great discussions on the stories, but sometimes the interesting ones get lost in the shuffle or spread out over multiple stories. So, just as something new to try, I’m going to make a weekly thread that poses a question or puts forth a topic for the readership that relates to the current stories.
(Yes, I’ve got a forum, but the registration form is broken at the moment and this is meant to be something that people can participate in more casually, since there’s a large number of people hanging out on-site anyway.)
Now, if you’re just here to read the stories, don’t feel like I’m demanding you participate. This is meant to be for fun.
This week’s topic is teachers… quite a lot of people wrote comments describing their horror stories with real-life Ariadnes, and a few mentioned their own personal Goldmans. Teachers are human beings, of course, which means that there’s good ones and there’s bad ones… so if anybody has any personal anecdotes they’d like to share about an outstanding–or outstandingly bad–teacher, feel free to speak up!
You may want to avoid attaching any names to a tale of woe, though… particularly if you’re still a student.
