Hey, all! Just a note to let you know that as of tomorrow (Monday, so technically today, but after I’ve gone to bed and grabbed some sleep), I’m back on the job. As I said on the MORE MU comment board, I’d call this vacation week poorly planned, but that would imply it was planned in the first place. My fall break (September or October, I should have actual dates soon as I actually plan on getting out and doing things during it) will be better organized.

Sorry, no bonus story tonight. I’ve had seven people threaten me with bodily harm if I even dreamed about doing something MU-related on the holiday weekend. Feel free to throw your character/subject requests out here, though, because I’m going to aim for* an extra bonus story this week to get the donation meter down to a smaller number. Answer to FAQs (Fully Anticipated Questions): no, I don’t subtract money or roll over the counter if I don’t write a bonus story, and no, I don’t reset it to zero when I post a bonus story… I just subtract $250 from what’s in there. Nobody’s donation is ever “wasted”, in terms of reaching the incentive goal.

Oh, and Tales of MU book 5 will become available for sale next weekend. Just a word of warning: I’m going to have to raise the prices of my books by $1 in the near future. I’ll make it two weeks after book 5 comes out.

*Assuming I feel like I can get two quality stories out without harming the quality of my other work.

Okay, I’ve got the problem licked, it seems. Anyway, I’m leaving registration enabled but optional. If you don’t want to have to retype your information every time you post a comment, you can register and then you have the option of staying logged in.

Apparently, I really can’t emphasize this enough, because I’m still hearing from people who only now stumbled across it and want to know why they weren’t informed… or running into people and realizing that they just plain don’t know about it. Folks, let me tell you something incredible.

If you look at the time/date stamp on this post, you will see that it is, right now, the 5th of June. If you go look back at the first post on this site, you will see that it was also made, back then, on the 5th of June.

Anyway, some of you have noticed the pace picking up a bit lately, but I’m not writing this to talk about pacing.

Boy, am I a ditz… no, that’s not the announcement. The other day I put a link in my comments to a contest description on the forum, not remembering that (as somebody just pointed out to me) I made the forum registered-members-only. I didn’t mean to exclude any interested readers from participating by making forum registration a requirement to enter.
