Mack and Steff talk on their way over to see Viktor. Steff keeps getting upset every time she becomes aroused. They make a stop on the third floor at the room belonging to Rorick the faun and his room mate Jay the satyr where Steff works out some of her stress. While Mack waits outside she talks with a human girl named Kyla who was in Rorick's room. Mack becomes quite disgusted with Kyla's attitude toward non-humans and sex. When Steff comes back she decides to make a quick stop at Finbar's room, but Fin refuses to deal with her because of Viktor's prohibition on potions for any purpose except healing. Steff warns Mack about ogre protocol during the course of their trip, making a point of not speaking until given permission to speak, not moving unless moved or told to move, and pretending to admire Viktor's music.
