I hate to do this…

on October 10, 2014 in MU Blog

I started the week with a lot of optimism and energy, but a couple of bad days along the way have knocked the wind out of my sails. I’m really not at 100% right now, and the chapter that’s supposed to be up today isn’t, either. I think that rather than continuously trying to crank things up to full capacity, I’m going to scale back the schedule for a while from every other week day (2.5 chapters a week) to every Tuesday and Thursday (2 chapters a week)… just ease off the pressure enough that I can get my feet underneath me and keep them there.

My plan for now is to do this for the rest of the month of October. I’m reasonably confident–as confident as is possible–that by the end of October I’ll have both enough emotional stability and enough of a backlog built up that I’ll be able to resume the previous schedule that had worked so well, but that should be considered a goal rather than a prediction or promise.

Thank you for your support.

Trust me, I _know_ emotional instability and how it can interfere with the creative process. Take your time, just let us know how you’re doing. I think just staying in touch with people is one of the best ways to get yourself back on your feet, and hearing from the people that are “depending” on you (in this case, your readers) and knowing how they react to how you’re feeling, really helps keep the pressure of expectation off- especially with a group as understanding as has conglomerated around Tales of MU.
